5 Tips to grow your hair faster

पूर्वा चतुर्वेदी

Hair grows from a root at the bottom of a follicle under your skin. The blood in your scalp goes to the follicle and supplies oxygen and nutrients to the hair root, which helps your hair grow.

As your hair grows, it will push through your skin and pass by an oil gland. According to the AAD, it’s the oil from this gland that makes your hair shiny and soft.

  1. Avoid restrictive dieting :

Restrictive dieting can decrease resources and nutrients needed for hair growth . And since hair growth is a relatively low priority compared to other bodily functions, hair growth is halted quickly when your body is placed under stress due to restrictive dieting. Even after resuming a healthy diet, hair shedding usually goes on for a period of months.

        2.Boost your nutrient profile:

Specific vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids are especially important for your overall health and also play a key role in providing your body with the energy needed for hair growth.

       3. Ditch the heat :

Styling hair is an essential part of an everyday routine, and often this involves a great deal of heat. From drying hair to achieving the perfect curl, making your hair look nice can actually be pretty damaging. Try a more natural style (rock the messy bun, or crunchy curls) and it will all be worth it when you notice your hair getting longer.

        4. Massage your hair :

You might not even think anything of brushing your hair, but it can actually be really beneficial in making it grow. Taking time out of your day to massage your scalp, brushing from the root to the ends, can ensure natural oils are being evenly spread. This is the easiest way to stimulate growth without spending a penny. A Mason Pearson brush is really the best investment for your hair, it might be pricey but it works. The design of the brush stimulates hair follicles, meaning you can brush your way to longer, stronger hair

         5. Get a regular cut :

It might seem like cutting your hair when trying to make it grow is counter-productive. If you want longer hair the thought of getting a trim can be painful. But, in reality, cutting the ends off gives you healthier hair. Plus, the better the condition, the more it will grow. Get a chop every six to eight weeks and not only will your ends be healthier, but the hair will grow much faster too.
